Jampanese; nearly Japanese, but not quite; kimonos and fans, samurais and swords, minstrels and magic. Jingli, a poetic fisherman, hooks the Silver Dragon.  In exchange for poems, she grants him three wishes. Jingli’s greedy, snobbish wife, Yon Yin,  is egged on by two con artists, Ra Ba Jin and Fa Ted, until she expands her demands till she wants to be Empress of the Universe.
